• VIISA Pre-Accelerator

    Congratulations and welcome!

     

    VIISA's pre-accelerator is our 4-week program to onboard

    promising startups with our tools, methodology to help you get from idea to investment.

    Week 1. Welcome to VIISA

    All teams shortlisted from our applications are invited to join in the pre-accelerator program. This helps VIISA get a glimpse about your company.

     

    This objectives is to help you,

    • Understand the lean methodology/customer discovery
    • Help us understand your business
    • Structure more customised mentorship
    For Batch 2 we will be accepting 12 companies into the acceleration program.
     
    Teams not offered a spot in Batch 2 after this pre-acceleration course will be qualified into our new "VIISA-X" program- you will continue to receive help and office hours and will shortlisted for consideration into Batch 3.

    2. Getting Set up

    Getting you up to speed

    There are 3 components to the course:

    1. Online course + Tasks
    2. Office Hours (Online)
    3. Community (Slack)

    Online Course

    You are required to spend a minimum of 6 hours per week on this. Most of it will be "getting out of the building" and talking to your customers. Tasks in Google Drive here.

     

    Office Hours

    Book a slot with the VIISA coaches via calendar and schedule a 20 minute check in per week

     

    Community

    You will be added into the Slack channel where we can discuss matters and get the community to help you out!

    3. What is a Lean Startup?

    Learning to Build-Measure- Learn

    A Lean Startup provides a scientific approach to creating and managing startups and get a desired product to customers' hands faster.
     
    Eric Ries advocates that "startup success can be engineered by following the process, which means it can be learned, which means it can be taught". The goal is to get Validated Learning
     
    The central part of the Lean Startup Methodology is the build-measure-learn feedback loop. This basically tests your problem assumptions before building your solution.
